La Tour Vieille's Vin de Meditation is a rare, deeply mature Banyuls made from old Grenache and Carignan. Long solera ageing develops a rich combination of dried fruit, nuts, wax and mocha.

Dried fruit and nuts mingle with waxy aromas and mocha coffee. The palate is sweet, richly concentrated and layered, with pronounced nutty, rancio complexity.
This Banyuls comes from Mediterranean schist country in Roussillon and honours the area's traditional sweet-wine culture. Its solera traces its base wine to 1952, with younger wine blended into older reserves. The cuvee remains in oak throughout its extended maturation; 1952 is the solera's origin, not a single vintage on the bottle.
