Caramel, dried apricot, walnut and prune aromas lead into a sweet, silky palate. Dried-fruit richness and mellow nutty notes give the wine a rounded, complex character.
Reserva comes from the steep schist vineyards of the Cote Vermeille near the Mediterranean and Spanish border. It follows the Catalan tradition of fortified sweet Banyuls: fermentation is stopped to retain grape sugar, then wines matured in oak and outdoor glass vessels are blended across vintages.
