The 2018 combines 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Sangiovese from vineyards at 100 to 200 metres in coastal Bolgheri. Calcareous sandstone, white clay and fossil-rich marl shape the soils, while sea breezes moderate the Mediterranean climate. Fermentation took place in open oak vats, followed by 18 months in small oak barrels before bottling in June 2020.
