Origin & history

Mumm's Cordon Rouge draws on vineyards across Champagne, combining Pinot Noir with Chardonnay and Meunier. Its red sash dates to 1876, when Georges Hermann Mumm adopted a ribbon inspired by the Legion of Honour. The blend brings together the Montagne de Reims, the Aube, white-grape districts and the Marne and Ardre valleys.
