Sentier du Clou occupies southeast-facing slopes above Saint-Aubin, with stony ground over clay and limestone. The Pillot family has cultivated vines in nearby Chassagne-Montrachet since 1625. This holding forms part of the family's wider Cote de Beaune vineyard portfolio.
