No. 6 was launched in the United Kingdom in 1964, extending the Pimm's range into vodka at a time of growing international interest in the spirit. Originally described as a Vodka Sling, it later carried the Vodka Cup name. The brand passed into Diageo when Guinness and Grand Metropolitan merged in 1997.
