The Zombie was created by Donn Beach, a legendary tiki bar owner, and has since become a favorite tiki cocktail. It features three kinds of rum, lime juice, falernum, grenadine, simple syrup, and pineapple juice. But be warned, after too many of these, you could be walking around like a zombie.
Blend 1 oz each of three different rums (e.g. Jamaican, demerara and 151-proof) with ¾ oz lime juice, ½ oz falernum, ¼ oz grenadine, ¼ oz simple syrup and 1 oz pineapple juice plus a cup of crushed ice. Pour into a tall tiki mug, top with more crushed ice, dash Angostura on top, and garnish with a mint sprig. Traditionally limited to two per customer.
